Start-up with global thinking
This is the content of the talk about entrepreneurship co-organized by Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and SaigonBooks on the morning of January 14, 2019. The keynote speakers included Mr. Nguyen Tuan Quynh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Saigon Books, Vice Chairman of HCMC Young Entrepreneurs Association and Ms. Nguyen Phi Van, author of the book I, the future and the world.
Sharing start-up experiences in many initial difficulties, the speakers highlighted that young entrepreneurs are now facing some issues such as subjectivity due to overestimating themselves, being unable to adapt with the start-up environment due to the lack of understanding and other objective difficulties joining new markets. Therefore, it is essential to develop necessary skills such as time management skills, collaborative skills and connecting people. The most essential skills among those are presentation skills which help to clearly convey entrepreneurial ideas to companions and investors.
Global thinking helps entrepreneurs set their business in the context of globalization with opportunities and threats beyond the scope of the country. The talk brought a lot of useful knowledge to students, and helped them better prepare for the future.
