More than 1,000 TDTU lecturers and students participating in running for the community on the UpRace platform
In order to create a sports playground that contributes to improving the physical and mental health of officials and students, while also creating connections and exchanges between officials and students, Ton Duc Thang University has combined with UpRace organizing a community running program on the UpRace platform exclusively for University officers and students. Accordingly, each athlete completed the 5km distance and the total number of kilometers contributed was more than 6,000 km.
The special thing about the event is that each running kilometer recorded on the UpRace application will be converted into 1,000 VND to support two social organizations: the Association for the Support of Disabled People and Orphans in Vietnam (ASVHO) and Wildlife conservation center in Vietnam (Save Vietnam's Wildlife - SVW). The UpRace community fundraising running event took place online from October 28 to November 20, 2022, attracting more than 350,000 participants across Vietnam as well as 10 countries around the world. The number of valid kilometers recorded has reached nearly 5 million km, corresponding to nearly 5 billion VND donated to the two social organizations mentioned above.
