The Gen Z generation grew up in the rapid development of science and technology, the internet, social networks and the emergence of AI technology, but do they have the right perspective when using social networks and doing things and how to live healthily in the digital age. Understanding their thoughts, on the morning of December 7, 2023, the Department of Student Affairs organized the topic "Digital well-being - Healthy living in the digital age" with more than 300 students actively participating in Hall 10F.
The topic has given them approaches and ways to safely filter information on social networks, staying away from negative information. Because filtering the right information and protecting yourself on social networks is not only in the actions or information they send out, but also the information they receive, and you must always self-evaluate and filter their sources in a timely and accurate manner.
Besides certain benefits, if they use social networks excessively, it also significantly affects their health. If they are exposed for a long time, it will harm their eyesight, cause insomnia and many other consequences. Therefore, to ensure health and sleep quality, we should reduce the time spent using electronic devices and do light exercise before bed.
Through the sharing session, TDTU students equipped themselves with valuable knowledge and lessons about the influence of social and digital networks on physical and mental health; From there, each of their knows how to use social networks safely, effectively and healthily.
