Topic "The Power of Focus"
On the afternoon of October 24, 2024, at Hall 10F, the Student Affairs Department of Ton Duc Thang University organized a seminar on "The Power of Concentration" with the participation of more than 300 students. This seminar is not only academic but also an opportunity for young people to explore and better understand this important skill in their learning and career development journey.
The program was honored to have the presence of Master's Reporter Nguyen Phuoc Cat Phuong, Menthy Mental Health Care Department. In the main part of the program, Ms. Cat Phuong shared about the importance of identifying and eliminating distractions. She emphasized that concentration is the foundation for high productivity and efficiency, helping us to maximize our abilities in any job. To do this, it is necessary to clearly identify the distracting factors around you, from unintentional habits such as constantly checking your phone, the impact of social networks, to the influence of the external environment. The ability to identify them is an important first step, but overcoming them requires discipline and effort.
One of the attractive contents of the seminar was the practice and open discussion section. Through practical activities and exercises, students had the opportunity to assess for themselves which factors make them most easily distracted. They also frankly shared about the difficulties they encountered in maintaining concentration, from being dominated by social networks to the habit of procrastinating. The reporter listened and offered practical solutions, helping students find ways to adjust bad habits and build an effective study and work plan.
With the knowledge and methods shared in the seminar, we hope that students will be confident, build for themselves an effective concentration roadmap, eliminate distractions and be steadfast with long-term goals in study and life.
