Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts club

1. GENERAL INTRODUCTION

    -  Vietnamese traditional martial arts club was established in 2012 and the number of members has been maintained steadily so far.

    - Numbers:
       + Movement: about 35-50 students in the club practice regularly.
       + Team: 8 male athletes, 7 female athletes, 12 female athletes of the female team.

    - Every year, Vietnamese traditional martial arts club recruits members for the university team to participate in the citywide tournaments and student award; especially, the club’s members frequently perform in important events and activities of TDT University.
The club is currently collaborating with stage directors and filmmakers to help students earn extra income and participate in artistic performance. The club founded a lion dance team to serve the needs of the university or perform on occasions of mid-autumn or Tet holidays to increase income, improve health, and create healthy playground for students.

    - The club always organizes practical activities for students of the club and team like:

        + Organize teambuilding every semester and always create opportunities for old and new students to meet and talk.

        + Hold year-end events for the whole club such as camping or survival game.

        + Organize trips to experience new places.

        + Unite and especially perform outside the city.

- Over 5 years of operation, the club has developed more and more with the increasing of the number of members and many more achievements in student tournaments.

2. THE COACH IN CHARGE

Mr. Pham Đinh Quy:

    - Qualifications: Dr. of Sports Coaching – Beijing Sports Academy

    - Competing experience: National team athlete, national grand master of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts

    - Teaching experience: coach of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts team, kick boxing, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Thai Muay 2008-2014; coach of the young kick boxing team of Binh Duong province since 2015.

4. ACHIEVEMENTS

- Participate in university events.

- Perform in the national opera contest in 2015

- Participate in some films such as Thề Không Gục Ngã, Con Đường Tội Lỗi and some other movies.

- Participate in artistic activities.

- Join citywide tournaments.
