Discussion about “Perspectives of university leaders on student management”

On the afternoon of July 9th, 2020, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a Discussion about "Perspectives of University Leaders on Student Management".

150 delegates from 60 universities and 35 colleges in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) participated in discussing student management and education models.

Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of TDTU, referred to student education as an important task that needs to be well implemented to build university culture, to develop each individual comprehensively, both virtues and talents, to ensure the quality of outcomes, and to develop and innovate the university’s operation of education, research and internationalization.

The Head of the Department of Student Affairs and Dormitory Manager of TDTU also shared the characteristics of the management and education of internal and external students at TDTU and further responded to inquiries about TDTU’s successful student management. 

Dr. Tran Dinh Ly, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry; MA. Huynh Cong Ba, Head of the Department of Student Affairs of HCMC University of Education, and representatives of other universities contributed ideas and views on creating conditions to support students in balancing between academic learning and extra activities in order to promote the individual competencies of every student. 

The aim of the event is to create an environment of exchange between higher education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City regarding student management. Such events make an important contribution to the improvement of education quality.
