Ton Duc Thang University celebrated a new academic year

On the morning of September 9, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the Opening ceremony of the academic year 2019-2020. At the event, TDTU honoured to welcome Prof. Tran Hong Quan, President of Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges; Leaders of provinces and high schools have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with TDTU; crony business partners; members of the University Council and Founding Council of TDTU; with all lecturers-staffs and 1,200 students of cohort 23.

At the Ceremony, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of TDTU remarked the 2018-2019 academic year, highlighted the important achievements that the University in the past year. In particular, the honor not only for TDTU but also for the national higher education system was that TDTU had been ranked the world's TOP 1000 universities by Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). On this occasion, Prof Tran Hong Quan on behalf of the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges awarded the certificate of merit to TDTU.

Also, in the opening ceremony of the new school year, TDTU honored and rewarded for 03 groups and 07 individuals with outstanding achievements in science and technology activities in 2018-2019; reward scholarships to students with outstanding academic and training achievements, as well as freshmen with distinct academic result in the 2019 enrollment. The total scholarship was up to 6.5 billion Vietnam Dong.

The ceremony took place in a solemn and touching atmosphere; it has created emotions and motivation to strive for teachers and students. All have a firm belief in the next successes that TDTU will achieve in the new academic year.
