FOOTBALL CLUB
1. INTRODUCTION
- Ton Duc Thang University Football Club is one of the university’s sports clubs that is under the management of the Faculty of Sports Science.
- The club was established in 2011 and maintained to date with a steady number of members over the years.
- Members:
+ About 40 - 60 students practice regularly in the club.
+ Teams: Football team: 25 members practice and enter competitions; Male Futsal team: 15 members practice and enter competitions.
- Every year, the club recruits new members for the university team to participate in Football Championships for students.
- After 5 years of operation, the football club developed with growing membership and more success at competitions for both the Football and Futsal teams.

2. INSTRUCTOR
- Mr Nguyễn Đình Long
- Qualifications: Master of Sports Coaching specializing in Football.
- Competition experience: Male athlete in HCMC team from 2001 to 2006; Referee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) from 2009 to now.
- Training experience: Instructor for the young professional team of HCMC Professional Training School in 2010 – 2012.
3. ACTIVITIES:
Students practice in the club every night.
Students are doing warm-up exercises before professional practice.
The club joined the football competition at HCMC University Sport – Games in 2016-2017
4. ACHIEVEMENTS
- TDTU’s Futsal team:
+ In 2009-2010: 4th prize at U-League
+ In 2010-2011: 4th prize at VUG
+ From 2012 until now: entered the quarterfinal match at VUG
- TDTU’s Football team: has some outstanding contributions when entering HCMC’s and Vietnamese Student Association’s tournaments. Some achievements of the team:
+ 2nd prize at HCMC University Sport – Games 3 in 2016-2017

+ 2nd prize at the final match at the National Student Football Tournament “CUP VIETTEL” in 2015-2016

- Membership fee: 200.000 VND/ month
- Practice time: 18:00 to 20:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
