Cornell University students (USA) at Ton Duc Thang University

Another learning week of Cornell University students at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) continues with the cultural exchange activity between students of the two universities organized by TDT Creative Language Center (CLC) on the morning of January 8th, 2019. The program is implemented through video conference connecting 3 campuses: Tan Phong, Bao Loc and Nha Trang.

The students of the two universities had a lot of interaction activities to learn about Vietnamese Tet culture, and welcoming activities of the western New Year in the USA. Through the presentation of TDTU students, Cornell University students, for the first time, know the special features of Tet in the North, South, Central and Highlands of Vietnam. Cornell University students also presented western New Year's culture and traditional cuisine on Thanksgiving and Christmas Celebration in the USA.

Especially, the quiz game between the 3 campuses: Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Bao Loc has brought new knowledge, refreshing laughter and touching moments for students when the traditional music of the two countries played in this new year event.

This is the second year CLC and Cornell University organize this program; promising to be the annual program for the two universities. With the expectation for generations of students of the two sides to continue to preserve and promote lasting friendship; the students’ cultural exchange activities between the two universities have met the goal to directly deepen the understanding, empathy and strengthen the friendship for all participants.
