Journey to spread the value of politeness with the 29th Freshmen
In modern life, when the pace of life is increasingly moving and technology is increasingly developing, there are values that seem simple but play a fundamental role in shaping human personality. "Politeness" is one of those values. For students, young people on the journey of learning, training and maturing, politeness is a manifestation of behavioral culture, the key to opening up respect and connection in the community.
On September 9, 2025, during the Citizenship - Student Activities Week of the 2025 - 2026 school year, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the topic "The Value of Politeness" for new students of Course 29. This is not only an educational activity, but also a meaningful message for young people to enter the university lecture hall with a ready mindset.
The special point in Dr. To Nhi A's sharing is the practical approach. Instead of dry theory, she chose to tell very familiar stories: greeting teachers every morning when coming to class, subtle ways of behaving when talking to friends or attitudes in daily relationships. Through each example, students realize that "politeness" is not only a lesson from childhood, but also respect for others, gratitude for what you have and above all, a manifestation of kindness in personality. It is these small things that contribute to creating a civilized school environment, a united community and further, a society rich in human values.
For TDTU students, “Politeness” is also one of the 5 characteristics that identify TDTU students: Discipline; Politeness; Professionalism; Creativity; Service. These are core values that the University has persistently cultivated through each generation, so that each TDTUer, when entering the world, can confidently affirm his or her own qualities and values.
The seminar left many emotions in the hearts of new students. Let politeness become the unique “signature” of TDTU students, a mark for others to recognize you, respect you and remember you with all their affection.
