Special topic: "Identified CV - Your Career Story"
On the morning of January 7th, 2026, at Hall 6M, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the seminar "Identifying CVs - Your Career Story" attracted over 500 students. Organized by the Student Affairs Department, the program aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to build professional CVs that meet current recruitment requirements.
During the presentation, speakers provided students with practical perspectives on the role of CVs in the recruitment process. It was evident that a CV is not just a document providing personal information, but also a tool that helps recruiters quickly identify the candidate's abilities, professional mindset, and suitability for the position. A well-prepared CV will help students make a strong impression from the initial application screening stage.
Through specific examples and practical scenarios, the presenters analyzed how recruiters approach and evaluate the resumes of recent graduates. The "self-identification" aspect of a resume was emphasized as a key element, helping students clearly showcase their strengths, personal values, and career development goals. Identifying the right focus and selecting information relevant to the position being applied for is considered fundamental to building an effective resume.
The seminar became lively during the Q&A session between students and the two presenters. Many questions revolved around building a resume with limited work experience, how to leverage academic and extracurricular activities to supplement the resume, and how to express individuality while still meeting recruitment requirements. The frank and practical insights from the presenters helped students resolve many concerns and gain clearer direction in perfecting their own resumes.
Through direct interaction, students not only gain specialized knowledge but also learn how to reflect on their learning and training journey from a professional perspective.
