Seminar "AI and Contemporary Ethical Issues"
On March 18, 2026, at Hall 6M, Ton Duc Thang University, the Student Affairs Department successfully organized a seminar on the topic "AI and Contemporary Ethical Issues," attracting the interest and participation of over 500 students from across the university.
In the context of the increasing development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its becoming a common tool in learning, the seminar aimed to raise students' awareness of using AI correctly, responsibly, and in accordance with academic ethical standards. The program created an open academic exchange space, helping students approach the issue more comprehensively and deeply.
During the program, many practical topics were discussed, revolving around the role of AI in academic life, the benefits that the technology brings, as well as the potential risks when learners misuse or become overly dependent on assistive tools. In particular, the issue of the boundary between "smart learning" and "technology dependence" received much attention and lively discussion from the participating students.
Through relatable, easy-to-understand, and practical sharing, the program helped students better understand their responsibilities in using AI, from ensuring honesty in learning and respecting the value of knowledge to building a proactive and positive learning attitude in the digital age. In addition, the principles of using AI transparently and effectively were emphasized, contributing to guiding students to become conscious and capable learners.
The seminar not only provided useful knowledge but also contributed to forming a responsible mindset for using technology within the student community. Through this, the program further motivated students to proactively adapt to technological developments while upholding core ethical and academic values.
This is one of the meaningful activities in the series of extracurricular programs aimed at enhancing digital skills for students in the 2025-2026 academic year at Ton Duc Thang University. Through practical activities, the University continues to affirm its comprehensive education orientation, not only equipping students with professional knowledge but also focusing on developing their awareness, skills, and responsibility in the context of modern society.
