TDTU students take a proactive approach to safeguarding their health, guided by accurate knowledge

On the morning of October 27, 2026, at Hall 6M of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Department of Student Affairs organized a seminar titled "Safe Health Through Accurate Knowledge," which drew over 500 student attendees. The program provided practical, scientifically-backed information on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and proper skin care, aiming to enhance students' awareness, self-care skills, and ability to protect their own health.
The session featured insights from MSc. Dr. Nguyen Duy Quan and MSc. Dr. Huynh Thi Cong Nhan, both from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Dermato-Venereology. Drawing on their professional expertise and addressing topics highly relevant to daily life, the two physicians presented health-related information in a clear and scientific manner, while encouraging students to take a proactive approach in learning about and selecting appropriate self-care methods.

A key focus of this thematic session is to provide knowledge regarding sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the associated risks, and preventive measures. This is a health-related area that warrants serious consideration, grounded in accurate information and a proactive approach toward self-protection.

Through expert insights, students have the opportunity to raise their awareness of the importance of prevention, cultivate responsible behavior, and seek professional medical advice when necessary. Access to reliable information helps dispel misconceptions, enabling individuals to make informed decisions to safeguard their own health.

In addition to sexual health, the session covers proper skincare methods for maintaining healthy skin. Students gain access to useful guidance on selecting skincare products, identifying potential risks of irritation, and developing a skincare routine tailored to their specific skin condition.

Given the abundance of beauty-related information and trends circulating online, seeking professional advice and adopting science-based skincare practices is highly practical. Such knowledge empowers students to establish sound skincare habits and avoid the indiscriminate use of unverified methods.

The Q&A session provided an opportunity for students to engage directly with doctors regarding topics covered in the presentation. Questions focused on strategies to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections, how to select skincare products, and essential care routines for oily, sensitive, or acne-prone skin.

This interaction helped students clarify their concerns, gain insights from a professional perspective, and better understand the importance of seeking advice from reliable sources. For personal health-related matters, consulting directly with qualified medical professionals is essential to receive appropriate guidance.
