The Opening of the National High School Science and Technology Contest for Academic year 2018-2019
On the afternoon of March 16th, the National Science and Technology Contest for high school students of the Southern region opened at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). There were 34 delegations, including 32 delegations from the Department of Education and Training in provinces of the Southern Region and 2 delegations from universities in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
The competition takes place from 16th to 19th of March 2019, with 229 science and technology products in 20 areas: Animal Science, Social Science and Behavior, Biochemistry, Biomedical and Health Science, Cell and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biology on computers and Biology - IT, Earth and Environment Science, Embedded Systems, Chemical Energy ...
The contest aims to encourage and motivate high school students to study research, create, apply their learned knowledge to solve practical problems; contribute to promoting the reform of organizational forms and teaching methods. Through the competition, high school students have the opportunity to introduce their science and technology research results on a large, professional playground as well as learn more from their friends in other provinces and cities.
Accompanying with the competition, TDTU also organized exchange and experience activities for students and parents during the period from the 16th to the end of 18th of March, 2019.
